2. Assignments: Students will be expected to complete written assignments throughout the course. All assignments must be submitted to NTU COOL. Any assignment that is emailed to the instructor instead of being submitted to the course website will receive a grade of zero.
3. Discussion/Participation: Active participation in class discussions is a vital component of the course. Students will be encouraged to engage in thoughtful discussions, allowing for a deeper understanding and personal exploration of the course material. These discussions aim to facilitate critical thinking and meaningful experiences related to the subject matter.
4. Journal Article Review: You will find and critique article(s) discussing topics that you find most interesting in Adolescent Psychology. The article(s) of your choice must be from scholarly, peer-reviewed academic journals. The selected articles dates must be from 2010-2024. The article(s) must be research studies conducted over factors associated with the chapter you are reading. You will complete an article review of each article using an Article Review Guide. You will then share your reviews with the class. More details will be provided.
5. Final Project: There will be one paper and one presentation on course-related topics for the course.
• Option 1–The goal is for you to integrate what we have been learning about adolescence to think about how key concepts have impacted your (or another person’s) life. You will interview an adult (the person can be anyone), and analyze how the key developments that take place during adolescence influence the individual's emerging adulthood or adulthood phase of development. More details will be provided.
• Option 2–The goal is for you to explore your own research interest in Adolescent Psychology. You will write a research proposal (i.e., from reviewing literature, forming research questions, stating hypotheses, to designing a study) on the topic of your choice. More details will be provided.
